Elements of a Good Web Design

responsiveness

Any imaginative person derives glory and pride in getting himself/herself be mesmerized and surprised by what one is doing. There is a pleasure, and consequently a reward in doing something differently, though thoughtfully, only for your piece of work to come out amazing striking and beautiful. This pertains more to arts and design than other perspectives though, I bet the same applies to scientist and researchers. The only different is that the latter two may have some guidelines and procedures that they should adhere to in their quest to discover a breakthrough failure to which positive results may be far from reach.

I’m saying this because I’m a web designer and I’ve been working on various projects as a freelancer for different clients and I always want to have them satisfied. There is the element of having them recommend another client to me for some good job well done or they too can come back sometimes later with another project that they would love to have me design for them.

Basically, web design, and this pertains to all works of design need people who are not only creative but enthusiastic enough to test the different designs and professional outlook that may eventually bring an extra ‘feminine touch’ on their final presentation.

Therefore when I decided to work on my personal marketing site, I needed a design that would not only be professional but would entice my viewer. I was seeking to build a mailing list and since I wasn’t good at creating content, and very unwilling to part with a penny for the same, I decided to keep my visitors thrilled by my designs. I just wanted them to marvel at the work that I did and unconventionally get them to sign up at the mailing list.

Altogether, there was the need to keep my design as simple and navigable as possible so that they couldn’t be turned off by appearance of the site I did some research and then began on the project.

The Color or a Website Can Attract of Scare Away Visitors

In essence, color appeal to each other. Color adds aesthetic to any project but can be a real turn off. Different people respond to color in different ways. For my website, I tried to figure out the age set that I was trying to attract to the site. I wanted my potential visitorsresponsive_web_design to be appealed by the color design that I was to use on the site. Since I was targeting the younger age, I decided to use vibrant and brighter colors on the homepage. It did the trick because the demographic group that I was targeting seemed attracted to the different combination that I used on the site.

I need to be clear that the site that I created was to some academic writing gigs and the target group here was young people in colleges and high school and I knew that they could positively identify with the colors that I chose to use on the site. Moreover, although I did use bright colors, I ensured that the contrast of the colors and the information that they were seeking was well visible and easy to find hence, lowering the case of visitors leaving the website before seeking what they were after.

Security is Paramount in Marketing Sites

You can bet that I’m dealing with college kids who are so weary of every sent that they use and want it to be accounted for; actually everyone does, but college kids are more keen. Therefore I hard to reassure them that my site was quite secure by purchasing SSL certificates as well as ensuring that they were able to create a strong password which could not be easily hacked.

Apart from that, I ensured that my WordPress website was ever up-to-date and on responsivethe site I included a strong Privacy Policy Statement to reassure them that everything would be handled professionally and that no information about my clients would be diverged to a third party. Mind you, ‘helping’ students with their academics assignments is illegal in all schools.

A User-Friendly Interface Attract More Visitors

As I earlier said, I ensured that the design of my website was user friendly and there was ease in navigation. I made sure that each visitor would easily find what they were looking for instead of having to go through multiple pages to find the same info. I also worked to ensure that the each page had a good speed load by ensuring that I included any info and design which was needed and thus there was speed in loading.

With such a design, I did some other misc designs such as enabling compatibility of the site with different browsers and platforms and ensured that there were no errors on the site and that normal functionality could be easily gained. Then I let traffic come flowing.
